Hostal Quito Cultural is located in a classic, eighteenth-century house which was built by a French designer. The house is recognised as the first heritage property in its neighbourhood of San Marcos, in the heart of Quito’s historic centre.
Quito Cultural is surrounded by traditional culture and architecture. It sits just two blocks from the Plaza Grande, where you will find the Presidential Palace, the Cathedral and museum La Compania de Jesus, theatres, and other important plazas such as Plaza San Francisco and Plaza Santo Domingo. The hotel’s strategic location makes it ideal for accessing all areas of the city, and there is easy access to transport hubs, such as the airport - handy for visiting the Galapagos Islands.
The hostel has lounges, a terrace, and panoramic views of Quito’s historic centre and surrounding mountains. The hostel is beautifully decorated, with paintings adorning the walls and flowers such as geraniums, ferns and tropical plants adding colour to the terrace and balconies. All guests are greeted personally by the owners. The owners take pride in the up-keep and cleaning of the hostel, and also in providing a friendly service to their guests. The hostel has won awards for its service and certificates of excellence in 2009, 2010, 2011 and 2012.
